The most common type is the Cavendish variety. Adding bananas into your diet will provide you with many great health benefits. They improve heart health, cure hangovers, make you smarter, combat depression, relieve morning sickness, and lower the risks of blindness, asthma, kidney cancer, blood pressure, osteoporosis and diabetes. Other than health benefits, bananas can also help cure the itch of a mosquito bite.

Bananas and the stomach
Including bananas in the diet helps in digestion and also helps prevent diarrhoea. If someone has a lose stomach and they eat a banana, they tend to feel relieved. At the same time, they tend to make someone have some tummy relief. This fruit is very filling. Any time you get hungry and have a banana or two, you get immediate relief from hunger. Whenever you are running low on energy, bananas are the best fruit to go for. They can never fail you down.  They are really good to the stomach except when taken with alcohol.

If you are watching your weight, bananas should be your best friend. They curb the need for sugar/cravings for sugar since they are sweet and actually add sugar to the body. What’s more, it has no calories. People who go to the gym tend to have a banana or two half an hour just before they start their exercises.  

Bananas and your plate
When you add bananas to your food, for example cereals in the morning, or in rice, pudding, ice cream, with cake, and so forth, it add taste to the meal and also make the plate look really attractive. You can eat almost anything with bananas. They are a good source of starch.
