in order to make it in business.
Determination
You need to conquer your fears.
This could be fear of failure or success. Yes, there are people who are afraid
of getting into new ventures because they do not believe success is theirs.
They know for sure that they will not fail but they believe they are not worth
the success. With determination, you should be able to conquer you fears
especially, the fear of failure. After all, most successful businesses did not
take off smoothly. The entrepreneurs struggled to make it. The best thing about
failure is that you get to learn from your mistakes and try again equipped with
more knowledge. You should never give up. Keep on trying until you make it.
Patience
A new venture may take time
before you realise profits. You may actually incur great loses. This does not
only happen at the start of a business but it is a possibility even with
established businesses. You also need patience while dealing with your clients
and potential clients. Some clients can be difficult to work with and if you
are not patient, you may lose valuable contracts. You also need to be patient
with your employees. Showing that you trust them at their work and patiently
correcting them when they error, will make them more valuable to you. They will
in turn treat your clients in the same manner. This way, you have a great
chance of increasing your business potential.
Resilience
You need to recover quickly from
any misfortunes. The longer you stay down, the harder it becomes. When things
are not going well, get your determination and good judgement to assist you get
things back on track. Businesses tend to suffer from great misfortunes like
natural disasters, burglary, fires and so on. You should always have a backup
plan and fall back action plan in order to have business continuity. Some of
these misfortunes are unforeseeable and unavoidable. Insuring your business is

Good judgement
If you cannot make good judgement
then you are bound to fail. Imagine a scenario whereby you want to start a
butchery business in a vegetarian territory. That business cannot be successful
no matter your level of skill or experience in the butchery business. You
should be able to assess the service or goods you want to offer and the
location you are offering it in. you should be able to determine the life span
of the business you are venturing into. Some businesses are long term while
others are short term. This will enable you to make timely decisions on when to
start the business and when to close it up before you run into major loses.
