The wood used to make Oak Furniture


Oak furniture is made from oak wood which comes in numerous varieties depending on where and how the tree was grown. first, there is the red oak which comes from North America. It is one of the most popular types used for furniture. It has a straight grain marking and is red in hue. Then there is the very strong English oak from Europe often used for outdoors. Another type is the tiger oak also known as Pippy oak due to its stripped appearance. It has grains which look like the markings of a cat’s paws. There is white oak with straight grains mainly used for flooring because it does not allow much water to penetrate it. last but not least, the bog oak. This is the most expensive of them all due to its dark rich hues. It is very rare because it comes about from wood naturally submerged in a peat bog for hundreds of years.


The types of Oak wood used to make Oak Bedroom Furniture
There are over 600 species of the Oak trees around the world.  These are not all used to make Oak Bedroom furniture. Some are used to make flooring, tree seats etc. The few species used to make the furniture are the English Oak, red Oak, Tiger Oak also known as Pippy Oak, white Oak and Bog Oak.  English Oak, which is from North Africa and some parts of Europe, is highly used to make the furniture. It is deeply admired for its durability and the dark and light rings. It is appealing and very attractive thus, lights up any room.  It is also one of the strongest Oak woods of its species and is very expensive.  However, some of the bedroom furniture is made from Oak veneer. This is whereby some cheaper wood is in the interior or under the furniture. This type of furniture is normally cheaper than the solid Oak furniture.
